I have to disagree with Lois Depasquale concerning hand contact and a support surface. Having the patient stand on the weaker leg and having them hold on with the same side hand will challenge their balance. You can observe the ankle and hip strategy working.

There is too much trunk flexion going on in the leg extention exercise. I would not give that picture to a patient.
