Wellness at Widener University

Print ArticleEmail Article

Over three informational sessions, PT students at Widener University, Chester, PA, imparted practical tips and tools for maintaining a healthy diet and exercise regimen to participants in The Achievement Project, a nonprofit organization that helps Chester students grow and succeed in grades 9-12.

This initiative falls under the Institute for Physical Therapy Education's annual community health and wellness project. For years, Widener physical therapy graduate students have divided into small groups to embark on yearlong projects to address a unique challenge presented by a community organization.

Flip through the photos to see members of the nutrition and fitness group engage high school students in a series of course-related games.
