Healthy Workers

View Comments (0)Print ArticleEmail Article

As part of the Occupational Health Program at Performance Physical Therapy in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, physical therapists focus on proper body mechanics and strength. The main goal of the program is to promote the client's return to full function at work as safely, efficiently and effectively as possible.

At Performance Physical Therapy, the PTs give a comprehensive battery of performance based tests to determine a client's ability for work. Treatment may include manual therapy, modalities, exercise and conditioning and work simulation. Education is also provided on prevention of future injuries, ergonomics, posture and body mechanics.

Glance through the images in this gallery to see Brian Hay, MSPT, DPT, OCS, and Adam Ware, BS, CSCS, demonstrate a few of the tests and customized strengthening exercises performed at Performance Physical Therapy.
