PHILADELPHIA -- Magee Rehabilitation Hospital announced Nov. 18 that Press Ganey Associates named it a 2010 Success Story Award Winner.
Press Ganey currently partners with more than 10,000 health care facilities--including 50 percent of U.S. hospitals--to measure and improve the quality of their care and their bottom line. The company's databases allow facilities nationwide to benchmark their results against peer organizations. Magee Rehabilitation Hospital is one of six Press Ganey client facilities to receive this honor in 2010.
The Success Story Award recognizes facilities that have demonstrated leadership, implemented organizational change, and increased customer satisfaction.
"We are proud to partner with Magee Rehabilitation Hospital," said Richard B. Siegrist Jr., Press Ganey's CEO. "Their innovative approach to patient satisfaction helps to drive change in Philadelphia and improve the quality of health care."
"As an organization that adopted a Total Quality Management philosophy in 2008, it is gratifying to see that our efforts have resulted in these types of Press Ganey scores," said Magee's President and CEO Jack Carroll, PhD, MHA.
To improve the satisfaction of patients and their families, Magee adopted a "Culture of Excellence" involving all-day, all-staff interactive seminars that demonstrated the importance of positive attitudes, and accountability in the workplace.
