TULSA, OK -- Suzette Werner Jones, OTR/L, CKTP, Liesa M. Persaud, PT, MPT, PCS, CKTP, and Laci DiLibero, PTA, CKTP, therapists at TherapyWorks in South Tulsa, OK, were recently named Certified Kinesio Taping® Practitioners (CKTP) by the Kinesio Taping® Association International.

Kinesio® tape is an elastic therapeutic tape designed to facilitate and support muscle action or for injury rehabilitation.

TherapyWorks' therapists use therapeutic tape to correct body alignment in children with poor gait, improve posture from weak muscles, correct the over-tightening of muscles found in children with torticollis, and for sports injuries, congenital conditions and many other diagnoses.

"The process of certification improved my skill level and educated me on a greater variety of techniques and uses for Kinesio® tape. Therefore, I am in a much better position to help my patients," DiLibero said.

Jones, owner and president of TherapyWorks, has more than 30 years experience in pediatric occupational therapy and specializes in treating children with brachial plexus injuries and torticollis.

Persaud focuses on evaluating and treating children with abnormal gait and posture and in the casting and fitting of custom-made orthotic devices for children. DiLibero concentrates on early intervention of the birth to 3 population and youth sports injuries.

TherapyWorks offers physical, occupational, speech and nutrition therapy at its outpatient clinic in South Tulsa, OK.
