Print ArticleEmail Article
VANCOUVER -- The International Council on Active Aging (ICAA), which supports professionals who develop wellness and fitness facilities and services for age 50-plus adults, has appointed Don Gronachan to the ICAA Business Partners Advisory Board. Gronachan is director of physical medicine sales for Biodex, overseeing the market development of Biodex's mobility-specific equipment for the senior and general rehabilitation markets.

As an ICAA advisory board member, Gronachan will help steer the association in its operations and will participate in ICAA 2020, an initiative to create a vision for the future of the active-aging industry. He will work with ICAA members and the ICAA Business Partners Advisory Board to identify priority actions that ICAA can facilitate.

"We are excited to welcome Don Gronachan to the ICAA Business Partners Advisory Board," said ICAA CEO Colin Milner. "Don is working to help change the way we age in society by promoting healthy, active aging. This new model for aging supports health, well-being and quality of life for older adults, so they can continue to thrive and offer their ideas, skills and wisdom to the world. We are eager to benefit from Don's valuable advice in the coming year, as the association keeps striving to advance active aging."

"I am very aware of the growing need to service this segment of the population," Gronachan said. "I am thrilled to be part of an organization that will bring much needed best practices and change to the way people age and are rehabilitated in the future."
