Despite the cloudy weather on Oct. 16, 2012, the 14th Annual Race for Rehab was a hit. Hosted by second-year DPT students at New York Medical College, the event hosted 195 racers and raised $12,000 for Achilles international, a worldwide organization that works to include those with disabilities into sporting events.

The race was organized by second-year physical therapy students with the support of Anthony M. Sozzo, MA, MSEd, associate dean for student affairs and director of student activities and student financial planning, and faculty advisor Janet Dolot, PT, DPT, OCS, assistant professor of clinical physical therapy. Race for Rehab has raised $90,000 for Achilles International since its inception.

The race included certified 5K and 10K routes, along with raffles and children's activities.
