At Right on Track Pediatric Therapy, we help to get our kids right on track with their development and guide them towards happy, productive lives. Our facility is the only fully-comprehensive, state-of-the-art, pediatric therapy clinic in Middle Georgia. Our therapy team consists of 3 OTs, 2 PTs, 3 SLPs and support staff. We use a team approach to evaluate each child using a combination of parent interviews, observation of functional performance and standardized testing. The results guide each child's individual plan of care. Each therapist treats the child as a whole to help meet all of their needs. We serve a variety of diagnoses including autism, genetic disorders and neurological disorders.

Our new facility opened in January 2013 and was custom designed by our therapists to facilitate acquisition of new patients' skills. It includes a rock wall, zip line, pool, play loft and swings with more than 20 points of suspension. The unique design of the facility helps to create many opportunities for children not only to interact with the therapists, but also with each other during a therapy session. For example, a child working with an OT on a throwing activity can play ball with a child working with a PT on standing balance. This allows therapists the opportunity to see how our kids interact with their peers and allows us to encourage them to perform the task at hand by seeing another child successfully performing the same task.

Our therapists have created such a seamless approach to treatment that visitors often cannot discern which discipline they are observing. Each works together to carry over all aspects of development from communication, sensory integration, fine motor, and gross motor movements which allows a child multiple chances to learn new skills. For example, a child may be training in speech therapy to use an iPad with LAMP for communication. The child will then transition to PT or OT with the iPad to continue to allow the child to communicate across all disciplines. In complex cases, multiple disciplines will work together with the child in a single session to best meet the child's needs.

Our team strives to use current technology as a treatment modality which includes the use of iPads, AAC, and the Wii Fit. This approach allows the child to perform tasks that are interesting to them as well as improved carryover at home by using this technology.

We are a driving force in our community not only by providing pediatric therapy services, but also by participating in multiple networks in the community. We do this through clinics, collaborating in school systems, car seat safety checks, volunteering at the Miracle League, working with the Autism support group and Downs Syndrome Association and participating in health fairs.

As a comprehensive pediatric therapy program, we use a multidisciplinary approach to treatment which incorporates the whole family in order to help each individual reach their maximal potential. Each team member brings their own specialty to the table, creating a "wholistic" approach to treatment.
